Edge of Care Support
Helping Families Stay Together
Working closely with statutory partners, Trinity Support Services delivers early-help and preventative interventions designed to strengthen families and improve outcomes for children and young people.
Our Edge of Care service supports children and families at a critical point when there is a risk that a child may enter the care system. Through personalised support and early intervention, we work alongside families to stabilise situations, address challenges, and create safe, sustainable home environments.
What Our Edge of Care Support Provides
Our approach focuses on early intervention, family engagement, and building lasting solutions. Support may include:
- Preventing entry into the care system by providing targeted support for children who are at risk of becoming looked after.
- Strengthening family relationships through tailored strategies that improve communication, understanding, and stability within the home.
- Supporting placement stability, helping families sustain positive and supportive environments for their children.
- Reunification support, assisting children to safely return home where appropriate with structured and supported plans in place.
- Working alongside professionals, including contributing to assessments and supporting the development of effective strategies for families
By intervening early and working collaboratively with families, we aim to prevent crises, build resilience, and help children remain safely within their family networks wherever possible.
Where We Work
Our services are delivered across Staffordshire, Cheshire east, stoke on trent and surrounding areas. Working as part of coordinated early-help and family support pathways.
Through partnership working and personalised support, Trinity Support Services is dedicated to helping children remain safe, supported, and connected within their families and communities.
Our Edge of Care provision is led by Kelly Allat-Hogg, our dedicated Edge of Care Coordinator.

Her experience and commitment help ensure families receive compassionate, practical support at the moments they need it most.
